Course Description:
History of World Civilization 2 summarizes the historical events, scientific and technical developments of human civilization from 1750 to the present. The course provides students with general knowledge about near-modern social development such as the transition from feudal to capitalist regime, geographical discoveries and industrial revolutions around the world. Geographical discoveries and new routes to Asia by sea have promoted European civilization around the world but just a nice surface for long-standing local civilizations.
