Course Description:
This is an introduction to the strategic importance and the analytic tools of operations management. The main goal of this course is to provide an introduction to modeling and to scientific techniques comprising management science/supply chain management and demonstrate their applications to management problems for effective decision making. The topics will include strategy and sustainability, manufacturing and service process, supply chain process and supply and demand planning. MicroSoft Excel Solver will be used for problems and case studies.
