Course Description:
This course aims to provide students with understanding of (i) the fundamental knowledge for those common and important investment strategies in financial market, (ii) the portfolio
management techniques used to manage risk or make speculation, and (iii) the recent development of portfolio management tools and investment strategies in financial markets.
On the theoretical side, this course introduces fundamental knowledge for investment strategies and portfolio management. On the practical side, this course covers recent topics that are related to the investment strategies and portfolio management in both Hong Kong and United States.
Some projects of portfolio management are specially designed to let you apply the theoretical knowledge to practice. This course is highly recommended for students who intend to pursue a career or further studies in investment strategies and portfolio management. Of course, the knowledge will also be very useful when you make your own personal investment decision.
