Course Description:
The Money and Banking course is divided into 2 parts The second part includes the following topics: money, money supple-demand, inflation, commercial banks, monetary theory and policy, central banks and the conduct of monetary policy, and foreign exchange. While the focus will be on the United States, this course will help students make comparisons between Vietnamese financial institutions and monetary policy and its U.S. counterparts. Parts of what is generally contained in a Money and Banking course may also be covered in Finance classes and other parts may overlap with an advanced course in Macroeconomics.
