The “Sand Sculpture on the Beach” competition was first held by Duy Tan University in 2016, and in the following years, the competition's scale expanded with an increasing number of participants.

However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the competition was postponed for two years. This year marks the fifth edition of the competition.
